Molecular Eclipse (Free verse) by Enkidu
The motive of the makers To partake in this endeavor Levers bending from the pressure To surmount their predecessors Lying in wait Feeling caged by the fate Of our actions Our reactions when The people we know go to great lengths My think tank Is running on empty While I wait on the mechanic Sabotaging my high beams I scream in my dreams And it seems so unlikely That my enemies like me That in spite of me The world will go on And that songs Will sing the praises of dead men Caressed by the blade when They chose to brandish honed and much more dangerous weapons The pen prose and poetry Created from the liberty To write what we want to And bite what we can't chew Settling for children's books Just staring at the pictures Picture this for a millisecond Life is just a comma In the book of Time's initial sentence Pouring on the karma Look out It's a shaft of light Pouring in through your pores Shining right through our doors But on a basic level Darkness rules the cells forever Prisoners conditioned to be Martyred by the missions We just might not agree with Watching as destruction falls from the lips Of leaders leading us in line To a molecular eclipse It fits
