It snows in July (Free verse) by daniella
It cancelled my plans along with you.
So the snow rain has been falling since July
until October, it will forecast gray.
On my way back from the pool,
hair weeping, sky falling
into my eyes. Still I could see,
in the light of the peach colored lamps of the street
golden molecules drizzling, swept up
in my path ahead
and in my wake, a trail.
Insignificant, insistent lines angled down
over and over my head
so that in the end
the night sky, in her way
she was weeping into my hair
while the black dogs everywhere
made me button my coat and
stop at one point in the road
to wipe the snot from my nose.
