Skin and Bones (Lyric) by Alex Green
Skin and Bones
may crack and break,
so maybe that's why we
try to be fake.
Sticks and stones
may break my heart,
and your words will always
tear me apart.
But I've got a
feeling I'm gonna keep breathing.
It's winter somewhere,
but it's spring over here.
But no one would know 'cause no one
will go
out of their homes 'cause
they all still feel the cold.
Wrapped up in scarves
of lies and threats,
people still see as good as it gets,
and no one believes
in any
of their own dreams.
And the truth is
life is
getting much better.
Skin and Bones
will turn to dust,
your joints will ache and
your mind will rust.
This world will end someday
you'll see,
along with you;
along with me.
But I've got a
feeling I'm gonna keep breathing.
Seasons may change
along with our names,
but our blood will always run through
our veins,
and though we may try,
we'll never quite be the same.
Thousands of tears,
loves, and fears,
you will acquire over the years.
But don't you fret dear,
you won't recall
most of it.
And the thing is,
things can't
get any worse.
