sermon (Free verse) by crin
above the sky
there is nothing
except silvery planes
and memories of days gone by
every night we see heaven
breaking through the clouds
but we can only reach
as far as our arms can take us
we don't sleep
we want to stay awake
so we can watch ourselves grow all over
so we can watch ourselves spread inside of everything
the darkside of the moon
and places we cannot see with the naked eye
god is silent
and silene is golden
it keeps us searching
and starving for more
we cannot see beyond
the veil of the moon
we're slaves to our own desires
and to ghosts that stopped whispering long ago
we don't sleep
we stay awake and listen
so we can hear the screams of the damned
so we can hear ourselves becoming the very thing we fear
the darkside of the moon
and places we cannot see with the naked eye
