when enough is too much (Free verse) by elderking
so self righteous, and therefore justified you boldly point out my life's every wrong as I stand, mouth open, I'm mesmerized sure you'll foam from the mouth before long! you know I'm willing to own half the blame if indeed blame can ever be found but you're so caught up in your finger game where pointed accusations abound warming with vengance, you sharpen each word hopeful my wounds freely bleed as always my defenses remain unheard when that ego of yours needs to feed! viciously you toss me a final straw suprised when my back remains strong casually salting my wounds while they're raw you wait for our old dance and song. enough is enough! I spit eager wrath my tongue edged razor fine you blithely skip down your garden path towards ambush that awaits you upon mine.
