it's quiet (Free verse) by hendrimike
i see you in my dreams
a flowing dance of hair and arms
i see you in my dreams, my dear
your beauty resonates 'neath the stars
i'm tired of writing about a wish
i want reality to hit
i want a girl who isn't afraid
i want a girl who isn't tied to games
i want a girl unlike all the same
but she's there in my head
a neon fantasy cast in my brain
she is unlike all the same
jump right in
why not?
give it a shot
why not?
i am the man that holds happiness
i will treat you right
dinner by the candlelight
a laugh and a goodnight
i can be whatever you need me to be
but i'd rather just be me
this is how i picture it in my head
this is how i wish it could be
moonlight masquerading
peacefully playing with your contours
slowly outlining your every move
dance girl
swirl
take my hand
and twirl
when i feel the explosion of emotions
it helps when i compose the commotion
but i fear that when it's read it conflicts
with the true energy that i'm willing to emit
it's all just a poem that i write
when it's really, really late in the night
a dream girl in my head that i concoct
that i wish only lived 'round the block
