glittery red with rockets ripping through (Free verse) by FreeFormFixation
The clouds were mutilated by
the rockets ripping through,
so the sky was black
then glittery red.
Cinderella lost her shoe,
and Dorothy danced
on crunchy glass
barefoot, until she knew
her feet were glittery red
like cinderella's painted shoes.
One more shoe won't do,
my friend,
one more shoe won't do.
Glittery red, the wisdom falls
with rockets ripping through.
The clouds fell down.
Like novacaine they numbed
the frozen ground.
Glittery red, the teeth of the dead
were gravel under you.
And then you danced
so they could chew
you barefoot til you knew.
Your feet were glittery red, then gone
with rockets ripping through.
One more shoe won't do,
my friend.
One more shoe won't do.
Glittery red, the wisdom falls
with rockets ripping through.
