Flame (Free verse) by Rlee
What happened to our life?
The thrill, a pulse that thrived in between our skin and the outside
world.
You haunt my feelings in the night, dreams that awake my core only to
filter into ache.
Where can you be?
Tortured stakes, lead me onto a path stark and bare
Search for me beyond my love.
That is where you will find me again.
Flame that I carry.
Passion lives infinite, moving like a writhing comet
Sparked traced from a glimpse, a moment, one touch
Along the roots of life intertwining us all
Just a touch.
I can only leave reality for a blink, a millisecond to sense you.
The loathing life enslaves me; it has beset us both on divergent paths,
but honorable journeys.
Damn the ache. Cruel and endless par.
Where can you be?
Why so wonderful and then so riddled with lies. Taken away when sickness
clutched to you.
Leaving me like a castaway on a barren shore, void shell
Time can be undone into oblivion & then carved into stone to be, once
again, relived.
Dose it ring true or a glorified version of how we once were. Few souls
can cure this life.
My remedy is your arms, Your voice, Your breath, Your being,
love.
When can we play again, getting lost in the hundred acre woods?
You and I, the anchors to lasting love.
I have never stopped In my heart of hearts- I never will.
Having a key that unfolds the depths into me. Evoking passion that
comes again
Flame that I carry.
