Never Hang Your Head (Free verse) by TLRufener
Never hang your head, Even when you lie alone in your bed. After the flowers have wilted dead When the clouds cover the moon And all paths lead to doom, Still a star will shine for you. Never fear when the world may die. Dry your eyes and do not cry. Keep your head held up high. When all seems lost and cold After feeling are no longer bold As love seems distant and faded old; When no more dreams are coming true And all your feelings are frozen blue, Hope’s arms will still surround you. The darkened clouds will soon clear. You and your love will again be near. All your sadness will disappear.
