Across The Spectrum (Other) by thepinkbunnyofdoom
The world has turned two shades of gray
And my smile slowly faded away
As the colors sank into the pavement
While I was trapped inside your basement
Ghost cried out my name
As you closed your eyes and tried to claim
Nothing, No nothing has changed
Yet still the world remained rearranged
Midway through my reply the ground shook
Catching my voice off guard with a new hook
Dragging the words back into the microphone
Robbed of life they fell flat and became monotone
Hearing my own death I raced for the door
Only to find that the ceiling had become the floor
So circles came to be called squares
Before falling to the top the stairs
Lost as familiar things became foreign once again
My hair grew long and my head began to spin
Rather than cross the tracks, I felt like running down the road
No razor in sight, So I grinned bright and prayed to explode
The first martyr in a jihad against sanity
Before I realized that was a sin of my own vanity
I do not decide who lives or dies
Then the madness left me, empty eyed
