The Game of Categories (Free verse) by jessicazee
Itâs spring, you sprang,
Youâre lefty, said loosey,
Fall back, lean on,
A trusty, what?
Thatâs not a word,
A long A,
You donât know whatâs umlauts,
Cedillas, the things above Spanish Ns.
Thanks for the shot
But youâll never get my rules
For categories, itâs easy,
Iâll start, crimes,
Or things you can get arrested for,
Start with your personal history,
Okay, me firstâ¦
Shoplifting.
Your turn, drink while you thinkâ¦
Murder.
Breaking and entering. Kidnapping. Mail Fraud. Drunk Driving. Treason.
Rape. Dognapping.
Animal abuse. Domestic abuse. Child abuse.
Remember the rules:
1. No repeats. If you repeat, drink and come up with a new category.
2. If it takes you a little while to go, drink while you think.
3. If you say something not really deemed within that category by the
other players, you drink and come up with a new one.
Category is: Break-up lines.
Itâs not you, itâs me. Iâm gay. Youâre just like my father.
You drink.
Yes, just like your father.
This game sucks.
Drink.
