An Introduction (Free verse) by 1Sapphire1
Every girl should have a teddy bear even when she ultimately becomes a
women.
This omnivorus mammal's name is Frisky (not his given name).
He is a marvelous listener due to his attentive and sympathetic nature.
He has a tenderness in his heart for many an affectionate embrace.
His fur is quite absorbent with particular emphasis upon
clear saline liquids that are secreted by the lachrymal gland of the eye.
Other than the aforementioned proficiencies his favorite activity is to
eat
his meals outdoors on excursions (i.e. to picnic).
If it is your desire you can tender Frisky to your female descendant.
However, it would be wise for you to break him in first especially since
his size may now be a bit overwhelming to your daughter.
Back in his salad days, Frisky was somewhat articulate.
If you squeeze him tightly in your arms and make an effort to hear,
you might be able to detect the one expression that he is still known
to utter..."Real love stories don't have endings".
I am not sure why he recites this phrase. It must be the romantic in him.
But then what does he know, he has as much wisdom as a pillow.
