don't know (Free verse) by the_poetess
I don't know what I believe anymore I don't know if I should believe anything at all I don't want to fall prey to that smug self satisfaction when you think that you know something but you don't I don't want to be a jaded believer middle class is a cult, not a classification I proudly belong I have a sticker I often act pompous noone cares if your kid is on honor roll or if you hate aids and cancer and terrorism no one cares if you want a new car of if you are driving a hybrid why aren't you walking instead why aren't you excercising if you think you are fat why don't you pay your tithe to good causes, and not to McDonalds why don't you step out of your pampered lifestyle where the world revolves around your silly ideas and into the real world where dreams and fantasies will never put bread on the table
