Thanks (Dovina) (Free verse) by jroday
A poem ran from the end of my pen into my heart, and out again; up to
the sky, and down to the sea, and back on faltering wings to me.
Clear as an echo then, I heard a sound-- a yet unwritten word: a lovely
cadence, like silver flame, a poem in itself:
your name.
You have given back my smile,I seemed to have lost it for a while, you
inspire me to reach for my goals; bringing me joy and love untold.
You're always building me up, and never putting me down.
Your friendship I know is from the heart, and from that I never want to
be apart.
I want to give that friendship in return.
From you I am beginning to learn.
Thank you for your words,
they fall sweet and tender..
Thank you for listing,
whenever I want to talk.
Thank you for your trust,
even when you dont understand.
These words of thanks warm and true, are sent from me over to you.
