Mummy (Free verse) by freelancejoker
Fly away,
To where you first begun,
To a place so exotic and full of native emotions,
And fluttering with the intent of primal humanity.
Take a ride down the lane of childhood memories,
Ski away on the road of eternal secrets.
Remember your first popsicle,
As Mummy licked half of it?
You whined and you cried and you yelled and you sighed.
Mummy didn't relent,
She said You would have tooth decay.
You didn't believe
You hated Mummy.
You really did,
Secret No. 1.
Remember your first day in school,
When you were left in the company of countless monsters?
They were rude and they were mean and they were nasty and they were
silly.
You scoffed at them.
You yanked the hair out of the head of that ponytailed girl beside you,
You even laughed.
She cried, teacher screamed. class made noised, Mummy came.
Naughty! You deserve a beating!
You cried too,
You hated Mummy,
You really did.
Secret No. 2.
Remember the day of your elementary school road trip,
When You were at the zoo with Lily and Lucy and Peter and Paul?
You brought marshmallows,
They gobbled them up.
You flared up and you yelled and screamed at the top pf your voice.
Lily got her hair in knots.
Lucy had a new paw print on her left cheek.
Peter was in the thrash bin,
Paul was left weeping beside the lions' den.
You never got back your marshmallows.
You got a slap from Mummy.
You hopeless kid you are auch a babarian i really don't know why your
mine!
You hated Mummy,
You really did.
Secret No.3.
Remember your graduation in high school,
where everyone queued to get their papers on stage.
You worked so hard and toiled so much,
You got the first in school and graduated with special honours.
Principal was proud and Teacher was happy and Classmates were in awe,
You were really a star.
Daddy was there and Sister was there and Aunt was there,
But Mummy was not there.
Mummy said she had to work.
She didn't even give you an SMS on this big day.
You were bitter and devastated and you crushed your script.
Your speech was "Thank You"
But in your heart was of absolute hatredness.
You hated Mummy,
You really did.
Secret No. 4.
Remember that day when you were in UK,
With your beloved buddies on a backpack journey which is so fun and
adventurous?
You didn't tell Mummy,
In fact you never did talk to her ever since High School graduation.
She was so worried,
She called up your old friends from school
And even Lily Lucy Peter and Paul!
She drove your daddy's jeep through the city and the suburbs and places
you always went.
She never missed a scent of yours.
She cried and she sighed,
And she was so tired she didn't see the signpost that says Halt.
Right through the rocky mountains,
Into the deep blue Sea.
You were eating pasta at The British Royal Restaurant.
You didn't know,
Just like Mummy didn't know.
She left.
Without a word.
You cried and you yelled and you screamed and you yelled and you moaned
and you groaned.
You fely empty. WHY??? Why did she go?
You hated Mummy,
You really did.
Secret No. 5.
No! Are you weeping?
Are you thinking of Mummy?
Did you really hate Mum
Did you really?
Irony...
I thought you really did?
THEN WHY THE HELL ARE YOU CRYING?
