Sentiments Evermore (Free verse) by AJS
I ran with you, you ran with me, Together we explored our souls, The deepest sea. Winters of doubts blustered about us, But we stood magnificent And pushed away the chill. Those days when the sun opened and bloomed, searing beams of impassioned glory melted Our hearts together. In love, we embraced its golden grace. The inevitable water fell from a forsaken sky; It thrashed our skins, it rained, and together we cried. I pulled you close to keep you dry.
