Scars (Free verse) by Pervy Elf
You talk like your mother & write like your father A perfect blend: Light & Dark. Opposites attracting. To make a perfect little girl. But you're not so perfect, Are you? You have scars. Maring your skin & Heart. You keep picking at the scabs, hoping that they Heal. Don't pretend. You like your scars. Showing them off to strangers. And when they cringe, you laugh. Saying, "They're perfect. Just like I was meant to be."
