Reality (Free verse) by Sirens_Voice
I should have seen what you were about. The lies you told The pain you gave. All led me to this upsetting phase. Now I'm here alone in my room. Wondering what I'm suppose to do. Should I still care. Should I still love. All this passes through me like a song in my heart. But this isn't a song and now I know it's not love. For now I see the truth. We have finally grown apart. I'll stay your best friend I'll be by your side. But after the words you spoke. My love for you has finally died. I can't be with you and nor can I ever be. I don't know who you are and you never knew me. So I'll say the words that we fear to say because hurting each other just wasn't our way. I'll say these words and they will speak the truth. While you say those three little words We both know inside ourselves That this isn't the Happy Ending we both thought we knew. So don't be afraid to see me cry when we both finally say good-bye.
