The Fourth Of July 2004 (Prose Poem) by horus8
Tonight, while consuming a late dinner with my wife and son, My son turned to me and said (After a series of loud explosions were heard from a cluster of M-80s out there in 'that' mad-night...) "DAD! Can I look out the window and see what it is?" To which I replied Why bother, whatever 'it' was... It's dead now.
