Flower of Lebanon (Free verse) by donmiguel1960
A small, porcelain frame, Wholesome locks, aflame Dark rolling curls, soft flowing, A woman so maternal, adoring Spontaneous sympathy, of her own accord Caring for all, as her own, children adored An atmosphere of heritage, ideals held tight Entrusted with treasures, radiants of light Beauty within, beauty without, Unable to divide, circling about Flower of Lebanon, long curling peddles Bearing fruits of love, smiles of meadows Living today, nobility of long-ago Silk olive skin, inviting golden glow Deep in heart, chaste in spirit A crag of shelter, seeking no merit I adore you my love, as snow on a mountain Giving existence to life, crystals of fountains Your love is within, bursting forth as the sun I’m the String-less violin, for I you must shun Miguel Antonio Francis
