gideon jesus (Free verse) by herbgirlofbirkenau
This girl in the basement, she’s talking everything about nothing again She makes my coffee taste fucking bitter. But I’m just glad for the company. Guess you could say I’m a little lonely. Maybe I grew up just a little too fast. All us saints, yeah, we sure do finish last. My Jesus is on vacation packed up his halo and left last Wednesday. Just walked across the ocean. Got center stage in a Hollywood promotion, sellin’ paperback gideons to street kids for a quarter. The revolution is here. Right now. Right there. Thought I needed a break, called home just to breathe. the smog is thicker here, but the mood is more pristine. It’s colder where I’m living, it’s almost the end of December. and frankly, don’t give a god damn if you’re better. I think I’ll try to find Clinton Street. It’s been awhile since I heard the music..
