Battered and Bruised (Free verse) by erickvisions
Fire! Fire! Fire! Run! Run! Run! She set my heart ablaze (set me on fire, set me on fire) And laughed in my face (laughed in my face, spat in my face) She watched me turn to smoke (floating away, falling away) What a joke… …Dear is that the best you could do? Not the first time I’ve been battered an bruised. Battered and Bruised (Alone and Used) Dazed and confused (I’m dazed and confused) But I know I still want you. Did you see her face (the lines on her face, her skin-what a taste) Did you see those hands? (like shells in the sand, they’re made for a man) And did you see those feet? (so sexy, so petite) Their perfect… Perfect for walking all over me… …Dear is that the best you could do? Not the first time I’ve been battered an bruised. Battered and Bruised (Alone and Used) Dazed and confused (I’m dazed and confused) But You know I still want you. There she stands (a match in her hand , burning her hand) She’s with another man (holding his hand, the fuckers hand) And she’ll probably burn him too (can’t take the abuse, I love the abuse) Now she’s looking at me (skin turning to glue, what will she do) Got a smirk on her face (beautiful face, fucking waste) And she turns and walks away… …Dear is that the best you could do? Not the first time I’ve been battered an bruised. Battered and Bruised (Alone and Used) Dazed and confused (I’m dazed and confused) But we both know I still want you. Love the abuse, I love the abuse.
