Bleeding in the American South (Lyric) by wilco
In this whiskey-town There’s nothing left but drinks, to satisfy the fact that I don't need to think. Stories from the regulars shape the nightly news, as holy-roller Christians give away their pews. Please don't let me bleed my life away. So there's nothing left to satisfy the masses. don't worry about the war everybody raise your glasses. The bathroom walls tell of romances gone wrong while the drunken cowboys sing drunken cowboy songs. Please don't let me bleed my life away. All the women say their words are so much more profound, than anything that I could say. so I don't make a sound. Curbside, on a touring trip to nowhere in the world. Settle for a one night stand with a faceless, nameless girl. Please don't let me bleed my life away.
