your wife's pain (Free verse) by peaceseeker
doctor, your wife is crying alone in the cold of your office the dissonance penetrating the brevity of our embrace. doctor, your wife is on the phone seeking solace in the understanding of a disapproving friend - leave him! my tearful joy locks you as you leave. doctor, will you please hang up? our energetic connection is stifling me i love you like a warm summer day that ends in a flash then it's night. doctor, i know you love your wife so stop using me as a confusing excuse to keep your sails down, docked on land use me to unravel the knot and love her.

Up the ladder: Goodbye to an Individual
Down the ladder: Alice to Slumber
