Heretic Haikus (Haiku) by SupremeDreamer
[the first set of haikus I've ever written] Slaves to dead symbols- but they can decide which ones they would rather fear. Righteous and quite proud, keeping everything hidden- scared to be naked. The truth sets you free; salvation is denial- so forgive yourself. Faith: a sad excuse to be happily naive- wanting more control They need to save me- before I undermine them while they are timid. Forgiveness? No way, I have forgiven myself- don't need Jesus now!

A nice conceptual run! and your first 'haiku'; good job. Too bad we don't have another classification for 5/7/5 poems.

try these as cinquain (2/4/6/8/2)

do a little research on adelaide crapsey for the scoop on cinquain - good stuff. Here's a good example:

"Triad"

These be
Three silent things:
The falling snow ... the hour
Before the dawn ... the mouth of one
Just dead.
