Their Memories Shall Live On (Free verse) by ilovecars131
Eight of whome we lost None of them forgotten To tell you this While overhead the sky grows dark And as the moon climbs What do you see, vicious animals? No, the vision of bold warriors They move in silence, as it seems to me For their strong arm shall guide the shivering And on they will go, waiting for the light Since feeling is first From the compassion that I have Lowering my head, I prayed for these men Nothing gold can stay But their memories shall live on

Up the ladder: Bread and blackthorns
Down the ladder: When the night completes
