The Way You Could Say Nothing (But still I understood) (Free verse) by frostygirl
Summer breeze Whip through my hair Cool warmth against my skin Saw you standing there A solitary figure Outlined by the light of the setting sun Shadows cast over your face Hiding your expression The way your shirt rustled in the wind Loosely around your body The way you silence sliced Through the humid air The way you could say nothing But still I understood Wind chimes Hear them in the distance Sweet, comforting sound Saw you turn away Slumped figure Disappearing behind the tears The memory of your ghostly presence Trailing behind The way you used to kiss me Tingled through my lips Wiped my single tear away The way you left me standing there Feeling so alone The way you could say nothing But still I understood

There once was a girl from Montana/Who liked to get off on bananas/But after a while/She had awful piles/Because she was putting the banana in the wrong hole the silly cow.
