My Black Friend (Free verse) by kawakurdi
My Black friend Here we are: you, I and the universe Singing the song of silence again. I and night, you and the world Rehearsing together the melody of alienation. This song hands me over to the wind And carries me away to smell all the burnt roses In search of a nightingale. It makes me hold the grip of every mountain In search of a tomb. It turns all my senses into ears For hearing the news of an earthquake. They say your ashes would never come back To become the henna for the wedding party of your lovers. This fire is waiting for you How long will your sleep last? O' my black friend! This sand has smothered your breath All the waves are asleep. All the fishes have died of thirst. What a sea, my black friend! What a sleep, my black friend?

Archaic ideas breeds bit of archaic language. Maybe try to take this and create your own style.
