Tangled (Free verse) by mikeyh53581
Face beneath the pillow, tangled in the sheets Time moves mysteriously past us The days blissfully turned into weeks And somehow the weeks became months When you turn your face from me And your legs no longer tangle my sheets Will you still think fondly of me? Will your beauty still brighten my street? Face beneath the pillow, tangled in the sheets I've awakened to emptiness and disbelief The days will slowly turn into weeks Will you ever again walk down my street?

Down the ladder: The Day I Left You

I like. I probably would've went somplace else with the ending, but you did it your way. And it works.
