A Wish, A Dream (Lyric) by Corey McHattan
To wake, and watch the sun arise, Through crisp and lustrous cloudless skies Without the weight of pending work Or jogging, childcare, undarned shirts, Just the brilliant endless day To use (or not) in any way To swim, play golf, or just relax On hammock, towel, or just your back. I have this image every dawn That brief half-second each new morn, Fumbling the clock radio knob- And then recall I have a job.
