post-burnout (Free verse) by jay_dace
no motion in here for quite enough time daddy's drawer padlocked with complicated ways of thinking inside now i have grown to rely too much on my own stagnation so much so that mountains would swell into my backyard sidewalks would spit me into the streets the sky would throw up winds around me my rock would catch me teetering on the edges my essence would burst through my skin if i were to effervesce

Up the ladder: Winter Nothings
Down the ladder: Oblivion
