Guide Me (Free verse) by x311
Running down one path Stumbling on another Flying so high And crashing straight down I live my life Without direction Where's the path you paved for me? Visions of past transgressions Cloud over my eyes Scarred and broken I keep wandering My heart is numb Broken too many times Why can't you give me some direction? Something missing A piece of me lost This dark, dreary world Ripped it right out of me I try to stand up But get kicked back to the ground Open my eyes to see the road you chose Confusion all around me My mind filled with indecision I've tried so hard For far too long So close to giving up But before I do I ask you To be that light unto my path And illuminate the way

Up the ladder: To Live
Down the ladder: The Watching Brother
