before time (Free verse) by lexicon
I knew you before all this When it was just us, Before the politics and causes, Before the losses. We held hands and shared hearts. And now, Now this is mine and that's yours and nothing is ours. Before this, Before time, We did not need to speak to understand, to share. Yet now we share nothing... Not on the outside. But I know your soul Because somewhere some part is my soul too. Rediscovering what is me in you and you in me is key.

Up the ladder: A morning conflict
Down the ladder: Things I Will Never Do
