Friends (Free verse) by anitawit
We Are not cursed by sameness Or by the arduous inevitability of conforming If we manoeuvre side by side, We shall not result in resonance ; Your particular fancy may not be mine Your inspired flights may not take me up, Nor your enraptures hold me enraptured, We are not bound to be same together The one thing we are together ---- We are certainly friends, Friends and co-tolerants We shall, I believe Do each other quite well

Up the ladder: Dogwood Winter
Down the ladder: Silent Hunger
