coming out (Free verse) by pete
I went to my mum, just the other day I said mum, I’ve got something to say The me that you know has just been for show It seems I’m a poet She said I’m glad your dad’s not around to hear this She gave me a kiss Do you take the fist Don’t take the piss And don’t tell your sisters, they’ll come out in blisters Tried a few nine to fives as a beard That was weird Just as I feared

Up the ladder: Sidestepping
Down the ladder: Post-mortem
