COMFORT FOOD (Free verse) by LynnJR
Let me be your comfort food The nourishment for your soul, Have you dreaming of Brown sugar kisses, And candied yam hips, Sticky, Hot, Licking your finger For another taste Let me be your comfort food Satisfaction for your hunger, Taste me on the tip Of your tongue, Feel the hot spices burning, Like Cheyenne pepper in hot chili Let me soothe you with Honeydew kisses Sweet and exotic Let me be your comfort food The conqueror of your stress As I run down you like sweet butter melting all over a hot stalk of corn, Grasp me with both hands hold me firmly, I’m dripping in desire, waiting to be eaten. Let me be your comfort food The answer to your pain, Let me open you up, Seep out of your pores, Like a hot tattie On a bitter cold night, Leaving you breathing heavy And sweating Let me be your comfort food The fuel for your passion We can be a scoop of ice cream And a slice of hot apple pie snuggled against one another All you have to do is Come inside me Where it’s warm and sweet There we can melt into each other. All you have to do is Let me your comfort food.

Up the ladder: this is what I see
Down the ladder: holiday poem (thanks rock)
