Gesso and A Canvas (Free verse) by SomeNewKill
When you were like a wrecking ball, and i was this building just waiting to fall, then this demolition upon my soul, has taken its tole, on me. Is this what you want to see? He's so scared that you'll leave. It took all of this to see? Just another night drawn badly. This doesnt have to be tomorrow through the eyes of alone. Cause your this everything to him, More then this life he calls his own. Cause your this everything to him, Your this, your everything. Understanding how you were ever drawn to him, takes the night after this. Gone was gone to him, how were you ever his? So he sat with hurt in an empty hotel, things werent well, he wasnt well. Sadness trailed this broken heart. How did this end? How did this ever start? He never wanted you to leave. Room 103. Your this everything. Your everything to me, But when you were like a wrecking ball, and i was this building just waiting to fall. then this demolition upon my soul has taken its tole, on me.

Up the ladder: the poem reads me
Down the ladder: AGAIN,THEY STRUCK
