lucid dream (Free verse) by the indign
we can see just around the corner... a sense of something right; a reminder of a connection we were sure was always there. walking together hand in hand as though we never knew how we reached it, with smiles we share because we know we share everything that just fits so perfectly. we can pass through without words, knowing what lies ahead for us is us. we can see just around the corner. each step feels as though we're floating on air, passing through the vanilla skies, as we feel a comfort we never knew may be real; a warmth that takes us up to worlds away to hide behind this magic veil from the pains we fail to ever realize. we can fly, we can forever fly, for we are together, we are forever together. we hold ourselves as we hold eachother as we know we always have, always should have, always will. we lay in calm and quiet as we dream on ice together in peace, in a surreal sleep, to never doubt ourselves or our fears, our imperfections that won't exist, or our dreams we never remember. our subconscious whispers to us as we never choose to question: are we real within our Lucid Dreams, or are our lucid dreams real within ourselfs? no time to think, to fight, to struggle as we rush off to peer around the corner, to see if what we know is there is there. of course it is, it always is, even when it's nothing, even when it's perfect, even when it's real.
