away (Free verse) by the indign
left behind is everything that means something; ahead are the things that hopefully will. but at what cost? where will all the pieces fit if ever i go back; who will still be there waiting; where will i find the hearts that i held so dear; how far will everything be from where it was and what will it all think of me? but up ahead it looks so grand: so many opportunities; an all new life with all new meaning and all new friends; all new feelings; faces i've never met who may yet bring me cheer. tomorrow always brings a different today, but is different what i need? or is what i need waiting for me back where i belong? maybe i'll yet return and still find what's truely special waiting patiently for me.
