can you sing me a song (Free verse) by richa
can you sing me a song my joyful reader for you have been wanton all of your life, sustaining your years like a lazy hour. you have no tools to render the landscape but I can make use of a well-written tale, like candide at least I’ll learn something new. can you sing me a song my joyful reader like the songs in the towers, the songs on the roads that Mozart would happily write on the page. I know you’d sing sweetly my joyful reader but sad that you could not sing sweetest of all can I find you a place my joyful reader a place or a song.

Why is it sad that the joyful reader cannot sing sweetest of all? It's too much to ask, so you must mean something else. To be a joyful reader is not wanton, unless you mean unproductive in the field of things read, like an appreciator of Tolstoy, for example. But I see no fault in that.

Dovina :Why is it sad that the joyful reader cannot sing sweetest of all?

Richard: this is not a question for the narrator. He does not presume to explain the feelings of the joyful reader.

Dovina: To be a joyful reader is not wanton.

Richard: I did not pick the word at random. I picked it for its connotations of indiscipline and playfulness and the general sonic frivolity of the word.

Dovina: But I see no fault in that.

Richard: I am very pleased for you.

If I could sing sweetest of all I'd give you the Corpus Christi better than even the mighty Buckley managed. Sadly, nineteen-year-old chaps are not noted for having heavenly voices. I bet that zzinnia can sing, ask her.
