Enigmatic Innocence (Free verse) by Katzclear
Bitter masks of stoicism Gnawing disease at the lining of the throat as laughter supresses habitual apathy Bloody finger prints smearing vile existance over struggling innocence making survival too difficult. Ambitions of stealing all that's left All too futile. Steadfast mistaken for diffidence. Impulsive treated with impunity Refusing to become another addition to your pharisaical persuasion

Up the ladder: A New Deal (Rewrite)
Down the ladder: daddy's little girl

stoicism is so similar to apathy that the opening lines seem trivial.

Vile existance and survival are not similar, making the next few lines wonderment.

"Steadfast mistaken for diffidence" is a good line.

The last line seems to change the subject.
