Eternal Pain (Free verse) by lil_evil_boi
Thinking of you Can be a burden, A heavy backpack On my tired shoulders. Being with you, Can feel like Paradise in heaven, Or Hell like I've been Cursed. Sometimes I grieve To just say hi to you, Yet I can’t continue the conversation, My mouth opens, no sound comes out. As your footsteps Echo in the hallway, Pictures of the past Go through my mind. Do you still feel the same? Have you erased our history together? Our unforgettable memories? The obstacles, challenges We overcame as one? Or have you forgotten about me, And left me hanging in the dark? Seems like yesterday, When we were more than friends, Always talked about Nothing could destroy us, How you were The One. What happened to the couple, That nothing could Separate them? Is there hope left? Is there a light at the end of the tunnel? Do you see a future with me? Or has your heart replaced me With someone else?

Assignment: Read this to whoever it's for. If you get all the way through it without them A) Shooting themselves or B) shooting you, I'll give you a 10.
