Treasure What? (Free verse) by Bankrupt_Word_Clerk
I've got a motivating pain in my chest it moves from far away to now and back again Like ripples in a pool crash against the edge and rebound to the center causing a shimmer that doesn't even look like a pattern after a while. I've got a substantiating enigmatic proposition in my mind rattling from synapse to cortex to oblongata In a hailstorm of information crossing paths with involuntary muscular commands... I choke. I laugh... my mind rejects the hypothesis. I continue to remember. remember. you. My mind demands a sacrifice I choke. I laugh out loud to the sky. Particles of days past break free and flow Lazily through the database of yesterday and tomorrow as I sit in the middle of a pile of pillows fluffed with overspent emotional trial and expensive advice given freely I smile contentedly. drunk on my past. remembering continuously. continuously. us. we. it.
