Yesterdays testament (Free verse) by Caducus
Apostles wrote from your eyes Lamp black truths On contorted vellum. It was clear to see Ebonized in anguished doctrines Reading years of tender abuse, The spattered hammer The naked bronze cross Being lifted till you groaned, now lazy eyed Fallen to pieces From limp embraces This Bible with a broken spine Lays beside me Collapsed into folios. I Recite our sins and memories from pages of dates and times. Unreachable vows And selfish monologues Preached by me, Until barren ducts Left rivers on cuffs Hidden to protect me, Until the dam burst And deaf ears finally harked Filleting purity with Judas glance. What is left unwritten – our once desire. Empty as a Nazi’s conscience Throats pull like a Luger Cold as raven eye, Dead as Jews yolk Our love is but a Bible Of broken spines and truths. A nest of slaughtered dove quills dripped through skins leaving a story no longer believed in.

Up the ladder: Gone
Down the ladder: Aurora

The Bible lies, not lays.

You read Plath? holy cow. I'd better give her a once over at least.
