By My Window (Free verse) by fetisha
I sit by my window Observing one great tree Casting its shadow upon the silent streets Two or three cars run fast On the avenue beside And old man lays to rest Smiles to his child´s child Feeling like a widow No dead husband to weep upon I sit and watch by my window Searching for my soul Strangely it appears to me one hundred cars a million trees In Paris, Berlin or Lake Ness God, the same loneliness How many faces stare like me At expensive cars and high trees Even having a good house and money some Nothing but hearts who can´t find a home.

Up the ladder: The tender side.
Down the ladder: Third person.
