Too Late (Free verse) by ObiWonKn
The sterile cotton sheet is pulled No one is here, but me, and maybe you I wonder if you're watching me Stumbling over what to do She said it was time I stayed in bed a little longer Till it was too late Now blood rushes to my head My legs are growing weak I caress your calloused hands Through tears, I cannot speak There's so much I want to say So many things I want to change Your blue eyes Brought the color to my own Tell me, how, at 17, I'll ever make it here alone Because I don't know

Up the ladder: Navel Action
Down the ladder: unoriginal

I got the call in the middle of lunch. Been there. The thought is strong, but the images are/language are not really memorable, except maybe "No one is here, but me,/ and maybe you".

This read to me like a depressing inside story. Brings me back to all those highschool dramas I never took part in.

"she said ... till it was too late" stumbles, and I'm not sure what you're saying. I presume the person died, but I've no clue the relation or really what that meant except perhaps abandonment...
