Fast Dreams (Free verse) by cuddlytiger17
Racing through another dream Panic is the enemy Must stay calm, Must stay cool Hide yourself, silence rules. Another game of Cat and Mouse Dashing through an empty house Shattered windows, smashed alarms Solitude the only charm. Pick up speed It’s drawing near This dream is over- The future here.

Up the ladder: My Secret
Down the ladder: history

I don't see how you race through a dream.

As in a nightmare? If you're telling me you've never had a dream in which you were running, well then I'd say I have a hard time believing you.

Yeah, okay, you were running in your dream. If only I'd known.

"Here is found a paradox in that during the latter third of the nineteenth century, in a period characterized by the vilification of the tramp, there is a concomitant process occurring that also eulogized them." from "The American Hobo" by Colin Beesley

How utterly relevant! She obviously dreams of tramps, eulogizes them.
