Bound (Prose Poem) by lambdaphi874
Though our time is shattered like candy glass,
I reach through the mirror and pull from the past,
The memories now that survive as they're told,
Begin to show color and start to unfold,
As I look at the days we spent without care,
I feel more alone and I know you aren't there,
Taken for granted and lived without thought,
What I would give if a day could be bought,
These tears that fall won't bring back our time,
They don't fill you with life just away take from mine,
Without you I am weak and fall to the ground,
I'm tied up in chains through our love I am bound,
Yet I will still stride through this crippled life,
To get to the end,
To be with my wife.
