Silent words echo through The caverns of my mind. Words unheard and unspoken For another count of one million times. Silent thoughts paint pictures Upon the cavern walls, As undone actions Cause my awareness to fall. Silent dreams slip away Down to the cavern’s base. Once again I shy in fear And fail to touch your face. Silent goals remain unreached. Tears stream down from my eyes. Hearing the echo of the cavern Not yet ready for goodbye. Silent slashes through my heart Spill red on the cavern stone. With all my love still burning Inabilities keep me alone. Silent pain rising higher Growing like the cavern fern.
