Hendrix (Free verse) by DrThorsen
Casual glances upon distant fences The warming glow and power of resonant Truth modern insecurity Never go broke I got property Pacing prey all the integrity of a cat's curled tail Storming another day, lost among my breed Two cents and not another deed drifting of mutuality Motion appeases insecurity Each action, an appeal to insanity Casually drift to peer without perception No panacea like progress Imagined or projected A half moon in a harrowing sky Drives me to despise "why?" Each step a metaphor of beating our self and spirit Forgive me Maker for I can't imagine the world without me Another Samurai lost in preparation for never-coming battle The fuzzy comfort of the first world luring me into casual death Coaxing me out of love with friction Hypnosis for the day I don't wake Recognize every beat The thinnest thread will lead Tribal pounding Rejuvenating the next beat the next idea the next messiah the next day will do

I really do like the language, but at the same time feel it makes an enemy of the form. I especially like the ending, but I'm not quite loving it as a whole. 6/10
